Can I use my hot tub year-round?

Yes.

Do you deliver all around New Zealand? Do you deliver to rural areas? 

Yes, we deliver our hot tubs anywhere in NZ, provided the section is good for trucks.

How long will it take to get my cedar hot tub?

As our hot tubs are hand-crafted, every tub takes a few weeks to build, depending on how many orders we have in the pipeline. Enquire about current lead times' and/or place your order.

Do I need water and electricity access?

Yes.

Is the spa cover included?

Yes.

I have an AIRBNB/ Accommodation - can I order more than one?

Yes.

What’s the recommended maintenance?

The spa exterior will need to be re-oiled with CD50 and Colourtone (current colour tone is “cedar tone”) every 5 years or so, depending on the amount of sun exposure. Noticeable drying and/or fading will be the indicating factors.

Where should I buy my hot tub’s water treatment products?

After researching different water treatment products and methods available on the NZ market, we identified one of the most cost-effective, low-maintenance options that contain no nasty chemicals is the Simplesilver Spa Pool Treatment, along with an O2 Shock powder. 

Although it appears expensive initially, the Simplesilver treatment is a yearly expense and is essentially a hassle-free, set-and-forget solution to your water treatment needs. It takes care of all your water treatment requirements when used in conjunction with the O2 shock powder (to be used if water begins to cloud) and regular filter maintenance. 

We also recommend rotating between 2 filters for ease of cleaning and to also allow for the filter fibres to dry between uses. This adds longevity to the life of the filter cartridge. 

How often do I need to service my hot tub?

The filters need cleaning every 2 weeks. 

An oxidiser needs to be added if the water goes cloudy or the tub gets slippery inside from body fats and dirt - which happens naturally on cedar as it's a natural substrate.

What are your accepted payment methods?

We currently accept direct bank transfers.

How will the hot tub be brought on-site?

Easy access for a HIAB truck or space for a minimum of 5 people to lift and carry from the delivery point.

Can I customise my cedar spa?

How do you source the cedar?

It's Canadian cedar from BBS Timber & Panels in Christchurch.

Will my hot tub get slimy?

If not looked after enough for the amount of usage, and if Simplesilver isn't soaked in the initial clean water for one week before use.

What about weather conditions? Does it need special care over winter, summer, periods of rain or super dry weather? 

Not if kept full.

Can I fill my cedar hot tub with fresh water?

Yes, but you will have to change the water every few weeks - this will depend on your use.

How hot should the water be?

From 37 to 43 °C. 

On what type of ground can I place my hot tub?

Your spa will need to be placed on a flat stable platform/surface, a minimum of 3 x 2 metres in size, capable of holding a minimum of 2 ½ tonnes. 

Can I go to your workshop and view a hot tub before deciding?
